Beyonce celebrated her 33rd birthday on a fancy yacht in Corsica, with Jay-Z
Beyonce turned 33 years old yesterday. Cough. Yep, 33. So much of Beyonce’s life is full of conspiracy theories, some of which she even plays up publicly (like the Illuminati stuff), but the Beyonce age-gate conspiracy was one of the earliest. The thing is, I don’t think she was lying about her age in the beginning. I think at some point in her Destiny’s Child years, she decided to shave off two or three years. But… whatever, I guess. She was born on September 4th, we just don’t know which year. Happy b-day, Bey.
Anyway, I’m including some assorted photos from Beyonce’s Tumblr and Instagram, plus a few pics of Bey and Jay looking loved up at the Made In America festival several days ago. Bey posted a photo from the festival on her IG – SHE is the one who cut out half of Jay’s face, not me. Just FYI. Most Hive-friendly sites claimed that their joint appearance at the festival means that all is well in their marriage. I don’t know, y’all. Maybe they’re master stunt queens or maybe… they’re just trying to work out their drama and it’s more complicated than a simple breakup/makeup situation. Jay does seem to be trying – apparently, he chartered a private jet to take his family away to Corsica for Bey’s b-day.
Happy birthday to the one, the only, Beyoncé! The self-proclaimed diva turns 33 this year and in keeping with tradition, she traveled overseas to enjoy some quality down time with her family.
Jay Z, Blue Ivy and Yoncé were all spotted arriving on a private jet at Bastia-Poretta airport in Corsica, where they’re expected to enjoy a peaceful vacation in the South of France. According to a source, Jay tipped their hostess on the private jet a hefty sum of €500, and when she returned to provide him with change, the rapper laughed and refused to accept. How nice!
E! News has also learned that the Carters have chartered a luxury yacht that rents for around $800,000 per week. And while there have been rumors that the music power couple have hit a rough patch in their marriage, an insider explains that the two are moving forward as a united front.
“They’ve had their problems, but they’re still solid. Going away for Beyoncé’s birthday in September is a tradition they have. It’s a chance to get some quality time together and relax far from worries about their crazy work schedules.”
That’s nice. I’ll give them credit for really going all out for their vacations. I also like that they go to new places too, it’s not like they check into the same resort year after year. Their relaxation will last for a week or two, then it’s back to work for their shows in Paris, which are being filmed for an HBO special. And after that… we’ll see if their marriage holds up once the business side is done.
