Jon Gosselin: I love “soulmate” Hailey Glassman more than Kate

The epic douche fest known as “Jon Gosselin’s latest interview” is still in full swing. CB brought us details of the two-part Good Morning America interview on Tuesday, but Jon is still swinging. What I didn’t realize was that GMA made the interview into a Dateline special, which aired last night. In the part that CB covered yesterday, Jon claimed that he didn’t “trust” Kate anymore, he also said “I was abused … I was beaten down … I’m not going back to that life style.” Does Ed Hardy make tiny, douchey violins? Blech. Anyway, now we have even more details!

First, Jon claims that he’s still pretty certain Kate was nailing their bodyguard, Steve Neild. Kate has denied this charge several times, but Jon thinks she’s lying: “I speculate, but I don’t know — that’s a general feel,” Jon said. “You know, almost like when they were traveling together, I felt jealous. Here I’m Mr. Mom. And then there’s some other guy traveling with my wife… Whether it’s protection or not, it’s all in — it’s in the back of my mind.”

After that, Jon really went for Kate’s jugular. When asked about his relationship with 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, Jon said Hailey is “polar opposite of Kate…I feel like I love … love her more than I did Kate.” Jon goes on to explain, “I didn’t leave Kate for Hailey. People think I left Kate for Hailey … because of the time-frame and what they printed in the tabloids. You can’t control who you love. I strongly believe that. You cannot control that. It’s two people joined together.” Oh. My. Douche. There’s even more:

Jon goes on to call Hailey his soul mate. “I get encouragement from her, I get respect from her,” Jon says about Hailey. “Two things that a man needs. This is someone, I mean, like soul mate — like people joke about that. But I’m not joking about that.”

Jon is clearly on a mission to polish his tarnished public image and he denies having romances with Deanna Humel and former Star reporter Kate Major. Hmmm…..

“I have so much to lose … in this situation,” Gosselin told ABC. “I could lose custody, I could lose my kids, I could lose — but I feel like with [Glassman] that I’m not going to lose them. It’s just going to get better.”

And yes, Jon is acutely aware of what people write about him. (Hey, we already knew that.) He recognizes that he was once more popular than Kate with show viewers but times have changed.

“It’s just like the change from America’s favorite dad to dirt-bag. Tomorrow I could be maybe … America’s favorite dad again,” he says. “It could be after this interview. I don’t know. Whatever they want to write, let them write it. They’re going to write it anyway. I’ve learned that lesson.”

What’s that sound? Oh, that’s just Kate’s head exploding from rage (R.I.P. Beaver Hair). Before the Dateline special aired, Kate was already issuing denials and having her people/friends/employees send out bitchy comments to retaliate to Jon:

Kate Gosselin is furious at her estranged husband Jon’s charge that she may have been having an affair with her bodyguard Steve Neild, sources close to the reality show mom tell RadarOnlne.com exclusively.

“She is beyond angry,” said a source who knows her well. “She knows Jon is just trying to vent his anger at her but she feels he’s gone way too far.”

In an interview with ABC, Jon told his side of the story of the divorce that has lifted Jon & Kate Plus 8 into a ratings powerhouse for TLC. And Jon held nothing back, saying that he despises Kate, that he was abused in the marriage and that she refused to go to marriage counseling.

“Kate knew it was coming,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “But it’s still pretty bad.”

A friend of Kate’s told RadarOnline.com that the couple had agreed to a 45 day “quiet period” after announcing their divorce and that Kate honored that agreement but Jon did not. Kate’s supporters point to Jon’s chit-chats with the press at a fence in front of the house as improvised press conferences designed to make Kate look bad.

But Jon’s charges in the Tuesday interviews stung Kate badly. She released this statement: “While I certainly have a very different perception of how our marriage dissolved, for the sake of my children I maintain that I’m not going to go into details of aspects I believe should remain private.”

What concerns Kate most, says her friend, is that one day the kids will read all of this. She believes she hasn’t done anything to poison them against their father but thinks Jon’s comments have crossed the line.

Kate had remained silent about her relationship with Neild even as cheating rumors flew, rumors she believed stemmed from Jon. It was only recently that Kate talked about her close relationship with Neild and his wife and revealed she spent her first post-separation weekend away from the kids at their house.

Is it only now, with this interview, that Kate thinks Jon has crossed “the line”? “The line” is so far behind them – both of them – that they’ve forgotten what the line looked like. If another line came up to them, they would beat the line with cell phone and drag the line into the woods so the wolves could feed on the line‘s dying carcass. God, I hate these people.
